Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as we need to run the service well.

What we collect

  • Account details, such as your email and the organisation you belong to, so we can sign you in and keep your work separate from others.
  • Scan data, such as the addresses you scan and the results, so we can show your reports and monitor for changes over time.
  • Usage information, such as which features you use, so we can keep the service reliable and decide what to improve.

How we use it

To provide the service, to send you the transactional messages the product needs (like a scan finishing or a monitoring alert), to keep the service secure, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: the ones that keep you signed in. We set no advertising, tracking, or third-party cookies, and we do not use cookie-based analytics. That is why you do not see a cookie consent banner here - there is nothing to consent to. Your display preferences (like dark mode) are stored on your own device and never sent to us. If this ever changes, we will ask before setting anything non-essential.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of trusted providers to run the service, including a database and authentication provider, an email provider for transactional messages, and a hosting provider. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

Where data lives

Accounts and results for this product are stored in a database hosted in the United States. We keep data only as long as your plan and the law require, and we remove anonymous free-scan data on a schedule.

Your choices

You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data. Email hello@openaccessly.com and we will help.

This is a plain-language summary and is not a substitute for advice from your counsel.
